Balkanika Music Television (Balkanika MTV) is a unique Bulgarian TV project on the territory of South East Europe. Balkanika is the only satellite music channel which gathers the best music from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. The channel acts as a virtual “bridge” between lovers of the Balkan rhythms from different ethnic, religious or cultural background. Balkanika’s diverse program contains music festivals, concerts, interviews with some of the most popular music stars, as well as coverages from all over the Balkans.
Balkanika MTV started broadcasting on 15 August, 2005 and since then entertains and educates Its Balkan audience with the best pieces of the contemporary pop, rock and ethno music.
Balkanika Music Television is part of the media group of “Fan TV LTD”, with headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria. “Fan TV LTD” is also the owner of the Bulgarian channels FAN (fantv.bg) and FOLKLOR (folklor-tv.bg).
