On this day 1981 in Prilep, the Macedonian music legend Tose Proeski was born. Today he would’ve turned 31.
The biggest Macedonian music star tragically lost his life in a car accident on 16 October 2007 in Nova Gradiska, Croatia.
The day of his funeral, October 17, was declared as a day of national mourning.
The memory of him and the grief that he left after, even after six years are the same, not only in Macedonia but all over the Balkans.
His musical achievements have passed all boundaries, and with his voice, he won the world.
On Saturday, traditionally in honor of his birthday in the Macedonian Opera and Ballet was held a concert entitled "His arias" concert dedicated to his first love – The arias, and was broadcasted live on Balkanika Music Television.
